10. Homemade Body Scrub with Clay, Sea Salt, Ivy Oil and Peppermint

 

Tightens and deeply nourishes the skin. Suitable for all skin types and recommended for body shaping, cellulite and  fatty deposits reduction, elimination of excess fluids, improved skin firmness.

What you need:

  • 2 tbsp. white kaolin clay
  • 2 tbsp. sea salt
  • ½ cup of ivy oil
  • 20 drops of peppermint essential oil

White clay works deeply but gently to exfoliate and tone skin. Conditions, nourishes, and removes toxins in the skin while helping to improve skin texture, firmness, and dry areas.

Sea salt contains many minerals and nutrients that are incredibly beneficial for the skin. Sea salt exfoliates dead skin cells and improves circulation. opens the pores, and helps with certain skin conditions such as psoriasis. Sea salt has also been shown to relieve arthritis and other sources of pain in the joints.

Common or English ivy oil (Hedera helix) helps in detoxification, reduces fluid retention, stimulates production of hyaluronic acid in skin and visibly improves its firmness.

Peppermint essential oil relieves skin irritation and itchiness, helps to reduce skin redness due to inflammation, nourishes dull skin and improves the texture of oily or greasy skin. Because of its refreshing and cooling effect, it is a great addition to a hot summer day body scrub.

How to make the body scrub:

Mix the ingredients together and apply to skin, gently massaging with firm circular motions for 5 minutes. Rinse off (without using soap or shower gel) and follow with a moisturizer.

How often?

Use this homemade body scrub once or twice a week.
