14. Homemade Body Scrub with Dead Sea Salt, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Gel and Vitamin E
An extremely moisturizing and healing body scrub, which helps exfoliate dead skin cells and improve a variety of skin conditions. Suitable for all skin types and especially for dry and sensitive skin.
What you need:
- ½ cup of Dead Sea salt
- ⅓ cup of jojoba oil
- 3 tbsp. Aloe Vera gel
- vitamin E
Why you need them:
Dead Sea salt contains over 21 minerals which are very effective at helping various skin conditions like acne, arthritis, cellulite, dry skin, eczema, skin infections, psoriasis, skin inflammation, skin allergies. It makes skin softer and healthier, while also removing toxins from the body.
Because jojoba oil is so similar to the natural oils that our bodies produce on a regular basis, it serves as an excellent moisturizing agent, leaving a rich velvety non-oily feel on the skin while retarding water loss and enhancing the flexibility and suppleness of the skin. Jojoba oil is very effective in preventing and treating skin infections, acne and acne scars, and it can effectively reduce the damaging effects of sunlight radiation.
Aloe Vera gel softens and moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, reduces skin inflammation, lessens the visibility of stretch marks and improves the skin’s natural firmness.
Vitamin E moisturizes, calms and hydrates sensitive skin, repairs and improves the appearance of scars, prevents and repairs free radical damage. The strong antioxidant power in vitamin E also aids in collagen production, which gives skin its elasticity.
How to make the body scrub:
Mix together ½ cup of Dead Sea salt, ⅓ cup of jojoba oil and 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Add some liquid vitamin E either from a bottle or from capsules and mix again. Rub on your skin while in the shower and rinse off with lukewarm water.
How often?
Use this homemade body scrub twice a week.
