  • ½ cup sea salt
  • ½ cup sesame oil
  • ½ cup dry lavender flowers, stripped of stalks
  • 20 drops of lavender essential oil

Why you need them:

Sea salt contain calcium, which helps to deep-clean the pores in our skin, and also bromide, a mineral known for soothing the skin. Potassium aids in the reduction of water retention, and iodine regulates metabolic processes on a cellular level. These and a host of other minerals condition the skin from the inside out, helping it grow stronger and more resilient, and able to defend against the harmful effects of sun exposure, a dry climate, and stress.

Sesame oil helps to repair damaged skin cells and improve blood circulation, moisturizes dry skin, helps remove toxins from skin and slows down skin aging.

Ground dry lavender flowers exfoliate the dead skin cells from the surface layer of the skin, revealing the healthy, glowing fresh skin cells beneath

Lavender essential oil has very powerful antiseptic properties. Applying it to wounds can not only increase cell growth causing the wound to heal faster, but it also decreases the appearance of scars. Lavender essential oil soothes eczema and acne prone skin, boosts the circulatory system, thus increasing the flow of oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, and tones and firms your skin.

How to make the body scrub:

Whisk together ½ cup of sea salt and ½ cup of sesame oil, then add ½ cup of dried lavender, gently crushing the buds between your fingers. Stir in the lavender essential oil, mixing until everything is evenly combined and you have a thick paste. Massage into damp skin, and rinse with warm water.

How often?

Use this homemade body scrub twice a week.
